Sarah Murphy Travis
President
Sarah graduated from Wheaton College in Norton, Massachusetts with a bachelor’s degree in English and women’s studies. From 2013 to 2018 Sarah worked in the Admissions office at Lawrence Academy in Groton, Massachusetts and also served on their Annual Fund Committee during that same time period. Sarah was on the Human Rights Committee for the Robert F. Kennedy Children’s Action Corp in Lancaster, Massachusetts from 2015 to 2018. She is currently working with the A Better Chance (ABC) program, a national program, in Andover, Massachusetts. At ABC she is an academic advisor for a young girl whose families fall below the poverty line in America to receive a better education through a rigorous public high school system. The goal is to have the girls accepted and attend highly regarded, and rigorous, colleges or University in America.
Rajiv Lochan
Vice President
Rajiv holds an undergraduate degree in Chemical Engineering and graduate degree in Economics and Industrial Technology. For his career, he has worked as an administrator for the St. Joseph’s Prep School in Patna, India. His duties centered on running and managing the school. He is retired as of November 2017. Currently he is the program director at Himalayangap, an outfit based in Kalimpong, India. Himalayangap organizes faculty-led programs for North American College students in India.
Meghan Duhame
Treasurer
Meghan Duhame holds a bachelors degree in Economics from Holy Cross and a masters degree in Organizational Leadership from Quinnipiac University. Meghan’s professional career has been diverse and global, spending 17 years at Accenture providing consulting and human capital expertise followed by 4 years at SABIC, a global petrochemical company headquartered in Saudi Arabia. She currently works at Boston Scientific, providing talent solutions to support employees across the U.S.
Meghan is passionate about developing others and doing her part to address income and gender/racial biases. She is excited to be part of our YGI team.
Anu Radha
Board Member
Anu Radha, the director of operations at Himalayan Gap, has been a management consultant to the Asian Heritage Foundation, an NGO that works in conjunction with the World Bank to revive rural art forms of India. She is a certified yoga teacher from the Sivananda Yoga Vedanta Centre. Anu also was the founding Trustee of FreeSchools World Literacy-India, a partner organization with FSWL-Canada, FSWL-Australia and FSWL-USA.
Over the last decade, Anu has built a social and economic empowerment platform for women and teenage girls in Sherpa Gaon, a small village in the Himalayas. This has led the women to save money, created income-generating activities for them and also become responsible parent with a dream for their children that they never had. The students have a wider horizon that they can play with.
