In 2022 Nikisha was accepted to Cluny Women’s College. The mission of the college is “An educated woman is an educated family.” They strive to promote gender equality through higher education among women. We are proud of Nikisha to be attending this college and fulfilling her dream of writing. She has taken the mission of YGI to the next level. Nikisha feels that she wouldn’t be there if it wasn’t for the program with YGI and Thinlay Peden, our tutor, and mentor. She never knew that she liked writing unless Thinlay hadn’t encouraged her to write and keep a daily diary. She began to write poetry daily and in doing so learned she truly loves writing.
