In mid-February schools have started back in Kalimpong. With our donors' generous support, YGI was able to continue to have Thinlay Peden, the mentor, and tutor, continue to work with the girls while the schools were closed. Thinlay's classes have helped prepare the YGI girls to get back into the school environment again.
Due to the financial burden of the pandemic, KumKum and Ishani’s school, Gyan Jyati School, had to close. They are now attending Don Basco School in Kalimpong. KumKum and Ishani are very happy at their new school…and they are excited to get their new uniforms.
